Professional Pet Grooming is an essential part of your pets life. With it, regular Vet visits and your love you can ensure your relationship with your pet to be long lived and fulfilled for many years to come.
We encourage home grooming as much as possible. In fact, to be honest, it makes our job easier. Home grooming should include but not limited to daily to weekly thorough brushing. Bathing when necessary (ask your groomer for tips so you don't cause matting or skin problems) and nail trims when possible. When pets are groomed at home, they are generally not afraid of brushes, loud noises such as dryers. They don't mind their feet picked up to trim their nails. They let us hold their heads so we can scissor them, clean out their ears, trim around their eyes. It can truly make a grooming experience with a stranger a pleasurable one. It also is a bonding time for you and your pet.
Some pets may have experienced a traumatic time in their lives. This could be, but not limited to, a bad experience at a groomers, vet appointment or life style they had no control in. The results of this could mean they are not willing to allow you to groom them at home. If you have young children at home who have full activity schedules. If your career keeps you carrying long hours, home grooming may not be an option for you, that is why we are here.
We can handle those pets who are afraid, scared, unsure of someone else handling them. We work slow and caring with them. In time, about 80% of them learn to trust us and in time learn to once again enjoy the experience.
Pet grooming may seem like it is nothing more then a back yard bath and a couple hours of shaving them down with a home grooming kit. Just as with any profession, we have top of the line equipment to ensure we can safely and comfortably do our job for you and your pet. We attend grooming seminars to help us stay up to date on new style and information. We listen to your requests and with the safety of your pet first and foremost, we will give your pet the quality and caring treatment you would expect for your very own children.
We have seen first hand how regular grooming can enlighten relationships between owners and their pets. The pets get to know the routine, they know the drive to the salon, the routine in the shop and there is nothing like watching the excitement of wagging tails as to say "Hey look at me" and asking in their own paw puttering ways, "Can I sleep on the bed with you tonight?" when their owners come to pick them up. Pets who are on a regular grooming schedule have less skin troubles, get relief from allergy ailments, nails that don't cause them pain when they walk, less ear troubles and so much more. Which, in turn, means unscheduled trips to your vet to fix those issues are lessened. Spending a little more time and money to keep your pet on a regular grooming schedule is as beneficial to you and your pet as regular maintenance is to your car, home, and own self.
With over 20 years experience, we strive to be your pets best friend as well as their groomer.
We understand that your pet is a valued member of your family, as much so as your own children. We will inform you when we see a new sore, lump, bad ears, anything that is unusual and needs your attention and our recommendations as to the steps to follow.
